The Mutualidad de la Abogacía insurance company has announced the sale of BBVA's emblematic headquarters at 12 Gran Vía López de Haro in Bilbao.
After two years of attempts, the transaction has been one of the most important operations of the year in the office segment, and has also yielded significant capital gains for the insurer. The purchase consolidates ARGIS as one of the main real estate investors in Spain.
The emblematic building, built in 1923 and refurbished in 2009, is BBVA's most important branch and the bank's regional headquarters in Bilbao, and has BREEAM sustainable certification.
